Terms of Service

Last updated: 2 October 2026

These Terms govern access to Audinote (“we”, “us”), the meeting transcription service at this site. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

Audinote provides tools to record or upload meeting audio, generate transcripts and optional summaries, and manage usage credits. Features may change as we improve the product. We may suspend features that depend on third-party AI providers when those providers are unavailable.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate account information and keep credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction. Do not share accounts in a way that violates these Terms or payment rules.

3. Acceptable use

You may only process audio you have the right to record or upload. Obtain consent from participants where required by law. Do not use Audinote to violate privacy, harass others, infringe IP, attempt unauthorized access, or overload our systems. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service.

4. Credits and payments

Transcription consumes minute credits. Pay-per-use packs are purchased upfront and do not auto-renew; usage deducts credits from your available balance. Purchased extra credits stay separate from subscription credits. Subscription minutes reset on each paid billing cycle and unused cycle minutes do not roll over. Stripe processes payments; checkout shows the final price and applicable taxes. Subscriptions renew until canceled in the Stripe billing portal; cancellation stops future renewal and the displayed paid period remains in effect. Stripe provides subscription invoices and available payment receipts; a pack purchase may have a receipt without an invoice. Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law or where we cancel a purchase due to our error. Submit billing or refund review requests at /account/billing. A request is reviewed and does not guarantee a cash refund or credits.

5. Content and AI output

You retain rights to your audio and transcripts. You grant us a limited license to process content solely to provide the service (including storage, transcription, and summaries). Transcripts and summaries are machine-generated and may contain errors — review before relying on them for legal, medical, or safety-critical decisions.

6. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data. By using Audinote you also acknowledge that processing described there.

7. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, or perfect transcription accuracy.

8. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising from the service is limited to the amounts you paid us for the service in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.

10. Contact

For questions about these Terms, billing or refund review, sign in and submit a request at /account/billing. You can track its status and read our reply there.

11. API access

You are responsible for safeguarding API keys and requests made with them; revoke a key promptly if exposed. API transcription is charged in started audio minutes and API speech in started blocks of 1,000 Unicode characters at the active rate shown in account API settings. Realtime input accepted for processing may be charged after a later disconnect. Do not bypass limits or resell access in ways that abuse the service. Availability depends on our processing providers.
